FLOW
Hospital Operational Visibility
Brunei's hospital teams were reconciling four separate data sources every shift to manage patient movement and bed availability. We built FLOW to replace all of them with a single real-time view.
The four sources we replaced
What the shift coordinator sees
A single screen replaces four manual data sources. Every view updates the moment a nurse changes anything on any ward.
One platform.
Two layers. Total visibility.
FLOW separates bed management (fast-changing, operationally critical) from patient flow (slower, strategically important). Both visible from the same dashboard.
Hospital-Wide Heatmap
Every ward visualised as a live capacity heatmap. CSCs see the whole hospital at a glance, like a car park display for beds, without calling a single ward.
- Updates the moment a nurse changes a bed status
- Colour-coded by occupancy: available, occupied, cleaning, reserved
- No refresh button. No phone calls.
Admission Queue
Patients awaiting placement are visible to CSCs in real time. Nurse managers flag transfer readiness instantly, no WhatsApp message required.
Automated Census
Confirm a transfer in FLOW and census sheets update across the hospital automatically. Excel reports generated on demand, zero manual compilation.
Patient Flow Phases
Track the full patient journey from admission to discharge. Surface exactly where bottlenecks are building before they cause delays.
Mobile Companion
Nurse managers update bed counts from a mobile app on the go, no need to return to a desktop terminal. Wi-Fi only; wired ethernet for critical ward desktops.
RBAC & Audit Trail
Nurse managers see only their assigned ward. CSCs see everything. Every action is logged with an immutable audit trail for clinical governance.
EHR Integration Layer
FLOW sits on top of your existing EHR: a coordination layer, not a replacement. v1 uses manual input; v2 reads patient status events from the EHR automatically.
Flexible Deployment
Deploy on your hospital LAN for full data sovereignty, or opt for secure cloud hosting. FLOW adapts to your infrastructure and compliance requirements.
- On-premise or cloud: your infrastructure, your choice
- Hot-standby failover server for clinical-grade resilience
- Automated scheduled backups with tested restore
Built around what nurses and CSCs actually said
Every design decision in FLOW traces back to direct observation, empathy mapping, and prototype testing sessions with the people who will use it.
As a Central Shift Coordinator, being alert to all bed availability is critical. When one ward is full, we have to quickly allocate patients to other available beds across different wards. Previously, keeping track of this meant manually clerking data into separate tabs in Microsoft Excel, making it incredibly difficult to get a clear picture of our census data. This solution has completely transformed how we manage our capacity.
Don't make me think. I just want to understand the capacity at a single glance so I can see exactly where the open beds are and move patients immediately without wasting time.
I prefer FLOW because of how user-friendly it is. The visuals take away all the guesswork. We can see the status of the entire facility at a single glance instead of digging through dense data.
In the AMU, our nurses are always overworked, and a massive part of that is the constant, manual pen-and-paper logging. Moving away from paper registries lifts a huge administrative burden off the frontline.
Quotes reflect insights from empathy mapping, direct observation, and prototype testing sessions conducted during FLOW's validation phase in the AMU.
We understand your workflows before we automate them
We deploy ward by ward, site by site, each rollout informed by the last. No big-bang launches.
Observe first
We study your ward's actual workflows before touching anything. Site walkthroughs, empathy mapping with nurse managers, direct observation of how beds are managed today. We understand before we automate.
Configure the platform
Your wards, your data, your thresholds. We map the operational layout, set alert rules, import user roles, and verify the infrastructure. No generic templates, built to your environment.
Train your team
Hands-on training at the ward terminal for nurse managers and a CSC orientation for the central dashboard. Quick-reference guides and on-call support throughout the pilot.
Go live together
The ChronoVue team is on-site for go-live. We monitor, gather real usage data, and iterate rapidly. Each deployment informs the next; the platform gets better with every rollout.
Infrastructure at a glance, deployed to your environment
Validated by the people in the wards
Manual sources replaced
paper census, Excel, whiteboards, WhatsApp
Live view for every CSC
hospital-wide, updated in real time
Phone calls to check bed status
when FLOW is running on your ward
Patient flow phases tracked
admission to discharge, end-to-end
Ward by ward. Then hospital-wide. Then national.
ChronoVue doesn't do big-bang rollouts. Every ward gets its own dedicated pilot before we expand. This is how you build something that actually sticks in a clinical environment.
Ward Pilot
One ward at a time
FLOW is deployed one ward at a time, starting with the AMU. Each ward pilot runs as a paid engagement. We deploy, train, observe, and refine before moving to the next ward.
- Full FLOW deployment: bed map, queue, flow phases
- On-site setup and network configuration by ChronoVue
- Ward terminal, CSC dashboard, and mobile companion
- Dedicated support throughout the pilot period
- Pilot evaluation report with usage data and findings
Hospital License
All wards · Recurring license
After successful ward pilots, expand FLOW to the entire hospital on a recurring per-hospital license. EHR integration layer activates in this phase, removing the manual input burden entirely.
- All wards on a single annual license
- EHR integration: automated patient status sync
- Multi-ward expansion and configuration support
- Priority support SLA
- MOH reporting automation
National Network
Cross-hospital visibility
FLOW licensed as a national operational visibility layer across Brunei's hospital network. A single dashboard for the Ministry of Health to see bed availability and patient flow nationally.
- Cross-hospital bed availability view
- Inter-hospital transfer coordination
- Centralised MOH reporting
- National patient flow analytics
- Long-term institutional partnership
